Learning at a Glance

Challenge

Federal contracting work pulls vocabulary from a dozen disciplines at once (cyber, agile delivery, UX research, accessibility law, data analytics), and every team I work with has someone trying to catch up. The existing options were bad: one-line glossaries that don't actually teach the concept, or hour-long courses that don't fit anyone's calendar. I wanted something sized for the moment a term shows up in a meeting and a colleague needs to understand it before the next sentence, long enough to actually teach the idea, short enough to finish in the time it takes to make a coffee.

Build

Learning at a Glance ingests semi-common terminology from a domain (Sprint Planning, WCAG conformance, ELT, Heuristic Evaluation, JWICS) and runs each term through a decomposed enrichment pipeline that maps it to a template shaped to the concept: Concept Explainer for definitional terms, Playbook for processes, Compare & Contrast for paired choices, Your Obligations for compliance work. Each section (hook, mechanism, real-world examples, pro tips, and takeaway) is generated as its own focused call, then scored against a per-template rubric before render. The result is a lesson built the way good in-person teaching works: open with a fact that earns the next minute, explain the mechanism, ground it in scenarios from real work, give a tip that separates theater from practice, and close with a takeaway that sticks.

Outcome

Every term ships in three formats sized to different learning modalities: a Remotion video for the visual learner, a TTS-generated audio track for the commute or the gym, and a PDF for the print-and-mark-up crowd. Browse by category or search by term, at hub.gogomito.com/apps/glossary.
